Description

Ambient air can be used to cool a variety of dried or cooked meal products (usually from poultry, fish or meat).

Cooling makes the processed cake brittle and easier to grind.

This cooling process also ensures that the storage temperature is kept below 50°C to prevent the powder from igniting spontaneously.

This cooler is basically a long barrel and is equipped with a stirrer. The agitator pushes the hot (usually 90–110°C) powder through the cooler, while the cooling air is drawn backwards by the centrifugal fan.

The gas used for cooling can be either ambient air or a suitable process gas from other areas of the plant, typically around 20–30°C above ambient temperature.

The structure is sturdy and simple, with few wearing parts, reliable and inexpensive, and can be used to cool a variety of powder products.
